A duck hunter had to be rescued by police after becoming stuck waist-deep in "quicksand"-like mud in Brunswick, Maine, earlier this week.
Brunswick police said they received a 911 call shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday from a 31-year-old man who said he was stuck in the mud off Wharton's Point in Maquoit Bay and could not get back to shore.

The man told police he had been duck hunting and had shot several ducks while standing on the embankment. He started walking across the mud to retrieve the ducks when he suddenly began sinking. He was unable to get out of the mud and the more he struggled, the deeper he sank.
Police located the man waist-deep in the mud. They used their department's marine patrol air boat to reach
