Jamie Vardy has shared an emotional message to Susan Whelan - thanking the departing Leicester CEO for his success at the club.

It follows her surprise exit from the King Power Stadium on Thursday following 15 years at the club.

Whelan has stepped down from her role, with chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha replacing her on an interim basis.

She had been with the Foxes when Vardy was signed from Fleetwood in 2012.

The striker went on to score 200 goals in 500 appearances for the club, becoming the third-highest scorer and appearance maker in Leicester's history.

Vardy won the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield as well as two promotions to the top-flight during his 13 years with the Foxes.
