LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Cass County man has been sentenced to over a decade in prison for two separate sexual assault cases.

Victor Camarena-Enriquez, 32, was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years in prison, maximum of 40 years, with 614 days credit for time served.

After taking a plea deal , Camarena-Enriquez was charged with two counts of attempt of a class-two felony.

On Aug. 19, as part of a plea deal in which Camarena-Enriquez plead no contest to a sexual assault charge, a child abuse charge was dropped and the sexual assault charge was amended to an attempt of a class-two felony.

Camarena-Enriquez was already being held in the Cass County jail after being charged with first and third-degree sexual assault of a child and false imprisonment in January 2024.
