Rome, N.Y. - A semi-truck driver died Friday morning in a rollover crash in Oneida County.

At approximately 8:45 a.m., the truck was traveling west on Route 49 when the driver lost control on an exit ramp to Martin Street in Rome, according to a news release from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

The truck drifted off the left side of the exit ramp before it collided with a guide rail in the area of a bridge that crosses a small creek.
