A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal overnight shooting inside a Dorchester apartment, police said.
At 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a reported break-in and shooting at 107 Bloomfield St., according to Sergeant Detective John Boyle, a spokesperson for the Boston Police Department.
Officers found a man shot dead inside the first-floor apartment of a triple decker, Boyle said. Medics determined that the man had been shot numerous times, Boyle said.
The man’s name was not released.
Angel Rivera, 30, of Dorchester was subsequently arrested on charges of manslaughter and unlawful possession of a gun and ammunition, police said.
Rivera pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Dorchester Municipal Court and was ordered held on $20,000 bail, record s
