BOULDER, Utah (ABC4) — An older adult was killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon near Boulder, a town in Garfield County.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, on Oct. 2, around 12:17 p.m., a 75-year-old man was riding a motorcycle northbound on SR-12. He was near milepost 101 when a witness observed the motorcycle "traveling at a high rate of speed as it entered a curve in the road."

UHP says the motorcycle "failed to negotiate" the left curve and went off the roadway to the right. The motorcycle struck a delineator post, causing it to travel off the shoulder, into a "rocky and wooded area."
