Baltimore City Public Schools CEO Sonja Brookins Santelises has been selected to serve as superintendent-in-residence at The Broad Center at Yale School of Management, the school system said Friday in a news release.

Santelises will continue working as the school system’s CEO while serving in the new position, which is “part-time and flexible,” the school system said. Santelises has served as CEO since 2016 and will leave at the end of the current academic year. The school system has launched a search for her replacement.

Santelises “will mentor mid-career and senior education leaders through The Broad Center’s master’s degree and fellowship programs,” according to a release on the university’s website. Her role will include content facilitation, teaching in and supporting the Master
