The crimes committed by Baltimore teens are getting out of hand.
Three teens were recently charged with the theft of a car. Two of the alleged perpetrators are 16 years old, the other is 14 ( “Three teens arrested in Baltimore charged with motor vehicle theft,” Oct. 2).
Two of the suspects, one of the 16-year-olds and the 14-year-old, have a combined total of 12 prior arrests. Incredible.
The law needs to change so young people are held accountable for their actions. And the sooner, the better. They repeat their crimes over and over knowing that, if caught, they are due for no worse than a slap on the wrist.
The parents also need to be hold accountable for their children’s actions.
