LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. —
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a man in Laurens County with identity fraud.
According to the arrest warrant, on June 4, 35-year-old Adekalie Turay of Gray Court applied for and received a driver's license using someone else's name.
The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requested the SLED investigation.
On Thursday, Oct. 2, SLED charged Turay with identity fraud. He was booked into the Laurens County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 8th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
