YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation released a statement Friday condemning recent "hate-filled violence."

"Once again, we are witnessing hate-filled violence targeting innocent people simply for gathering in prayer -- a fundamental right that must be protected for people of every faith," said Lisa Long, the federation's CEO.

Long's statement comes in the wake of the recent attack on a Manchester synagogue during the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur, which left five injured and two dead, and the recent shooting at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Michigan, which left eight injured and two dead.
