THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A 35-year-old man was fatally shot in the head on a Bronx street Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers found the man unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head in front of 1420 Stebbins Ave. near East 170th Street in Crotona Park East at around 1:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, police said. The man has not been identified.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
