PEORIA, Ill, (WMBD) -- The West Peoria Neighborhood Watch meets Monday, Oct. 8 and will feature a new time and two special guests.

The committee chair said the meeting time was moved from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in an effort to allow more people to attend. This is the first time for the meeting time change.

Peoria County Sheriff's Office Deputy Aaron Witt and K9 Walker will also be attending the meeting to meet the community.

The West Peoria Neighborhood Watch chair also said, the group remains an important way for the residents to stay in connected to share concerns and ideas for keeping the area safe and family-friendly.

The West Peoria Neighborhood Watch meeting is open to all residents. It is Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 6:00 p.m. at West Peoria City Hall.
