LEWISTOWN, Ill (WMBD) -- After taking a break from teaching music, Brant Reed returned to the marching band world four years ago to be Lewistown's marching band director.
"There was an opening here and they were struggling to find someone to take the position," Reed said. "I'm a minster in town part time and so I took this on as a second job to kind of make sure the music program didn't disappear."
This year's group might only be 35 students, but don't let their size fool you, they are very mighty.
"We really get to focus on smaller details instead of just pushing through. We really get the chance to know everyone as an individual," Addison Ford, a sophomore drum major for the Lewistown Community marching band, said.
