DUDLEY, Mass. —

A Massachusetts teacher was in court Friday after he was found with an underage girl, investigators said he arranged to meet for sex.

Prosecutors said on Sept. 18, Thomas Wilson, 37, of Southbridge, a band teacher in the Dudley-Charlton Regional School District, was in a car with a 14-year-old girl whom he met on Reddit with the intention of having sex when he was confronted by the girl's family.

"The defendant told police that he met the juvenile online through a Reddit app after seeing what he described to be 'concerning posts' she had made about wanting to date older men," prosecutor Meghan Hamilton said. "He stated that he had been communicating with this juvenile for approximately one month, and they had agreed to meet in person on that day."
