Two weeks ago, Brijesh Patel had a heart attack in Liberty Village. A stranger helped him call EMS and comforted him until the ambulance arrived. Hoping to track down and thank the stranger, Patel and his sister took to social media, and they found him.
"[It's not a] conversation that you think that you're going to have in your life," Patel said in an interview with CBC Toronto. "It was very humbling and emotional just to thank him."
Patel was coming home from a workout class when he felt a tightness in his chest. He sat on a bench to rest and felt a tingling in his arm and nausea. He says that's when he realized he was having a heart attack.
