Third-ranked Class 6A/7A Alma Bryant shut out its sixth opponent in seven games on Tuesday with a 40-0 win at Mary G. Montgomery.

The Hurricanes are 7-0 and 3-0 in Region 1. Only Spanish Fort, in the second game of the season for Alma Bryant, has scored against coach Zachary Ward’s defense. The Hurricanes won that game 20-6. Alma Bryant is averaging 42 points a game and its scoring defense average works out to 0.86 points per outing.
