Less than a day after releasing her new album “The Life of a Showgirl,” Taylor Swift has broken one of her own records as “The Fate of Ophelia” has achieved the most streams in a single day in Spotify history.
Swift previously held the record for the most-streamed song in a single day after “Fortnight” released in April 2024, accruing more than 25 million listens. She bested Adele, whose track “Easy on Me” garnered almost 20 million streams in Oct. 2021. If “Ophelia” continues to perform on the platform, it’s possible it could contend with Miley Cyrus’ record-holding “Flowers” for most-streamed song in a week.
That’s not the only record Swift has broken with “Showgirl” today, as it became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2025, less than 12 hours after its release. Spo
