A firefighter in Show Low was killed in a crash, becoming the third member of the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District to die in recent weeks.

The firefighter died in a motorcycle accident at 6:45 a.m. on Oct. 3 while on the way to work. The firefighter’s name has not been released, and no additional details about the incident have been made public, according to the eastern Arizona agency.

"Our entire organization is grieving the loss of another one of our own. We ask for privacy as we support family, friends, and fellow firefighters during this very difficult time," read a statement by the fire and medical district.
