RAYTOWN, Mo. -- A grieving family is frustrated after learning a police officer in Raytown will not face charges in the shooting death of a Grandview man.
Kenneth Williams Jr. died in November of 2024 at the Quik Trip at 63rd Street and Blue Ridge Cutoff.
His family met with prosecutors on Friday. They dispute the official description of what was inside Williams' car.
Jackson County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney Melesa Johnson says that the man made threats inside the gas station about having explosives in his car. Police were called out for a fight and a possible bomb threat. They shot and killed Williams as he walked toward his car.
