KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting at the Kansas City waterpark Saturday afternoon, the Kansas City Police Department says.

Officers responded to The Bay Water Park off Longview Road near Blue Ridge Cutoff around 5:30 p.m. Those officers found one victim with life-threatening injuries.

KCPD did not share whether or not a suspect or suspects were at the scene, or if any were taken into custody. It's also unknown what led to the violence.
