GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - State DATCP officials say scammers are impersonating the Wisconsin food-share mobile app called ebtEDGE.

The app is used to navigate SNAP food assistance benefits.

The fake app charges users $5 every week or $60 for lifetime access.

DATCP says users will never need to pay to use the official ebtEDGE app.

You can report suspicious activity to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services at 877-865-3432.
