HAGERSTOWN, Md. (DC News Now) -- There is a lot to do in Hagerstown this first weekend of October.
The "Paws and Pistons" fundraiser for classic car lovers is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Valley Mall. The event raises funds to support nonprofit animal rescue programs in the region and is popular with those who have an interest in vintage automobiles.
A new restaurant has opened its doors in the downtown arts and entertainment district called the Brick Tavern on South Potomac Street, located across the street from the Maryland Theatre.
Jay Hanckel launched the venture after having success with eateries in Charleston, South Carolina.
