HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Have you seen a moose wandering around central Nebraska?

It’s definitely been a sight to see for the people who have seen in Keya Paha, Nance and Hamilton Counties.

Nebraska Game and Parks said the first reported sighting of the wild animal was in Keya Paha on Sept. 22.

Jeb Snyder shared a video with Local4 showing the animal galloping through the rural area of Keya Paha. He captioned the video saying “things you don’t see every day in Keya Paha county.”

Then on Sept. 30, the Nance County Sheriff’s Office was notified the moose had made its way into their county.

Sgt. Landon Knopik said they had received calls about the moose in the area and once they were close, they were able to confirm it, sending up its drone to grab a couple images.
