SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - South Dakota State University brought a taste of campus life to downtown Sioux Falls with robots, drones, race cars, and more, all outside of the Washington Pavilion.

From lunar rovers to drones big enough to carry people, engineering students and faculty showcased their largest projects while giving kids a hands-on look at the future of technology.

“Today is a really fun day,” said Todd Letcher, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at SDSU. “We get to show off all the hard work we’ve put in over the last few years on these projects, and inspire a bunch of young people to be the next generation of engineers. It’s just a really fun day to get out and meet people and teach everybody about what we do here.”
