Margot Robbie still 'involved' with Pirates of the Caribbean reboot

Margot Robbie is still "involved" in a Pirates of the Caribbean reboot.

The Barbie actress was linked with a rumoured refresh of the Disney franchise in 2020 but later suggested the project had been dropped, however producer Jerry Bruckheimer - who worked on the first five movies in the series - has confirmed there is a script in the works for a new film and there is still a role for the Australian star.

He told The Wrap: “We’re working on a script. It’s always on the page; if we don’t have it on the page, it’s not gonna get on the screen.

“We had two scripts at one point, and then one kinda dropped out, and then we kinda went on with the other one.”

Asked if the project starring Margot was the one that dropped out, he replied: “Well, she’s still involved.”
