A U.S. postal worker was shot Friday afternoon outside of an apartment complex in Everett, according to police.
Officers responded around 12:50 p.m. to the West Mall Place Apartments. The postal worker had suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.
Police arrested a suspect who they say is a package delivery driver not related to the U.S. Postal Service.
“There are no other involved people and no one else in danger,” said Everett police Sgt. Kyle Coleman.
He said U.S. postal inspectors were investigating.
