A west suburban man was arrested after secretly recording another person inside an Addison church's restroom, prosecutors said Friday.

Steven Segura, 28, was charged with felony unauthorized video recording after secretly video recording another individual in the restroom at the Church of God Seventh Day, 1125 W. Army Trail Rd., according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. According to court documents, Segura placed a recording device in a church restroom, and a victim identified themselves as the person captured on the device while using the restroom.

Segura made an appearance in court on the charge, which is a non-detainable offense. The conditions of his release include not contacting the victim and not entering the church, according to prosecutors.
