BOISE, Idaho — Idaho’s veterans celebrated as officials broke ground on a new veterans home in Boise, the third time the facility has been rebuilt in the last 130 years. State and city leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility that will bring more comfort to our veterans.
"We're modernizing what we do to take care of our very precious veterans, to be sure that we honor them and we care for them in a dignified manner, and that's what this is all about,” said Governor Brad Little.
According to the Governor, the state faced a few challenges with federal laws that delayed construction. Lieutenant Governor Bedke said they have overcome the roadblocks and are now on track.
