OMAHA, Neb. (KOLN) - A University of Nebraska regent accused of driving under the influence in a crash that injured several people faced direct confrontation Friday from the father of three children hurt in the May collision.
During the Board of Regents meeting in Omaha, Ricoh Mountain, whose three daughters were injured in the crash, called on Regent Elizabeth O’Connor to resign and questioned whether she received preferential treatment in the case.
“This matter took two months to file any charges to being on any formal charges, now ask yourself had yourself had that been me, would it have taken more than two months to file any formal charges, and would I still be back at my job on Monday making decisions for the youth,” Mountain said.
