OMAHA, Neb. (KOLN) - The University of Nebraska Board of Regents honored former Husker volleyball head coach John Cook during Friday’s meeting in Omaha, recognizing his transformative 25-year tenure that elevated the program to national prominence.
Regent Jim Scheer read a resolution celebrating Cook’s remarkable achievements, calling him the “winningest Division I volleyball coach of the century” whose leadership produced unprecedented success for the Huskers.
Under Cook’s guidance, Nebraska volleyball became a dominant force in collegiate athletics, capturing four national championships and making 12 NCAA semifinal appearances.
