PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A 32-year-old West Salem woman was sentenced to six years in prison for her part in a mail theft, fraud, and forgery operation that impacted more than 600 people and businesses around Salem, according to the Polk County District Attorney’s Office on Friday.
On Sept. 16, 2024, Ashley Audrianna Wood was arrested along with two other people when detectives served a search warrant at an apartment on Orchard Heights Road Northwest, the Salem Police Department said on Sept. 17, 2024. At the time, police also said they found stolen mail belonging to more than 200 people, plus numerous other pieces of evidence related to mail theft and forgery.
Prior to those arrests, police said they arrested two men in the spring of 2024 , also connected to the same investigation.
