A woman from Ridgefield is facing charges after she allegedly tried to poison her estranged husband with a chemical commonly used in antifreeze, according to an arrest warrant.
Authorities said a man, later identified as the estranged husband of 33-year-old Kristen Hogan, become seriously ill after drinking wine at home on Aug. 5.

He was hospitalized for symptoms consistent with exposure of ethylene glycol, a primary chemical used to make antifreeze, police said. The bottle he drank out of was tested by a state lab who confirmed the findings, according to the warrant.
