SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A local man is organizing a community-driven effort to honor the long-time owner of Westside Market. He’s hoping to recognize Irving ‘Irv’ Givot with a special memorial.

Givot, a Sioux City Native, passed away in 2021 at age 98, but not before running Westside Market for 51 years.

Walter Mead told KCAU 9 that the park would be a tribute to Irv’s legacy and the deep-rooted pride he had in the Westside Community.
