Officials said a man has been charged following an officer-involved shooting in Washington County. Advertisement

According to a criminal complaint, officers responded to a report that Jeremy Washington was threatening people with a gun near Michael's Tavern.

When the police chief responded, witnesses said Washington pointed a gun at him. That's when the officer fired a shot, hitting Washington in the arm.

Washington is now facing aggravated assault charges.

State police are continuing their investigation.
