FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) -In the historic district of Franklin stands the eerie Old Stone Jail, long rumored to have paranormal activity.
Walking through the cold jail, you feel like someone is watching you.
The jail was built in 1819 and ran functionally as a jail until 1986. It then was later turned into a museum in 1992.
In the jail, you are greeted with lots of archives relating to the jail, the jail operators and the inmates who once lived there.
Billy Wilkerson is the operational manager of Simpson County Historical Society. He’s worked within the jail for six years and has witnessed some supernatural activity.
“In this jail, it’s seen as dark times throughout its history,” he said. “And there was a lot of remnants of that still going on today. You know, if I’m here in the evenings
