SMITHS GROVE, Ky. (WBKO) - Fall Break season is coming up quickly. Many travelers are taking to the roads to visit their favorite destination. I-65 serves as a major corridor for those traveling to the beach or to national parks like Mammoth Cave.

The Fall Break travelers have a great impact on the local economy of Smiths Grove. The exit is home to a Buc-ee’s that has been open for a little over a year now.

Many people choose to stop at the exit because of the Buc-ee’s. This brings an improvement to the local economy.

Located just off the interstate, and minutes away from the Buc-ee’s, is Grammie’s Home Cookin’. Owner Teresa Blair says that the recommendation for a good home-cooked meal from Buc-ee’s employees has led to an increase in business.
