DES MOINES, Iowa — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Friday released a detailed timeline of former Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ian Roberts' criminal record and immigration history.
Roberts' was arrested by ICE agents on Friday, Sept. 26, and was federally charged as an illegal alien in possession of firearms on Thursday.
He resigned from his position as DMPS superintendent on Tuesday this week.
ICE said Roberts' immigration history includes two visas, four Green Card applications which were all denied and several trips to the U.S.
Roberts is currently in U.S. Marshals custody awaiting prosecution for his recent crimes, the agency said.
