Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a dialogue with the youth of Bihar today at 11 am today, during which he will unveil a series of major youth-focused initiatives collectively worth over Rs 62,000 crore. The event will be attended virtually by both Prime Minister Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
At the center of these announcements is the launch of the PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs), a centrally sponsored scheme with an investment of Rs 60,000 crore. This project aims to upgrade 1,000 Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across India using a hub-and-spoke model comprising 200 hubs and 800 spokes, with a strong focus on industry-relevant skilling.
