FISHERS, Ind. — In a breathtaking battle on Friday night, the Class 6A Fishers Tigers held off a hot Franklin Central Flashes team in a 36-35 overtime thriller.
Both Fishers and Franklin Central entered the game each having lost two games so far this year. However, the Tigers have had a relatively better go of it in conference play compared to the Flashes. Either way, both teams had something to prove.
The Flashes struck first late in the first quarter when senior running back Nathan Sparks found the endzone on a 1-yard run. At the start of the second quarter, Fishers senior quarterback Gage Sturgill connected with senior wide receiver Vincent Rozzi for a 2-yard touchdown pass to even the score.
