Kokrajhar witnessed a major political development on October 3 as the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) held its policy-making committee meeting at the Bodoland Guest House.

The party, led by its president Hagrama Mohilary, made it clear that it will only join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) if the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) is expelled from the coalition.

Mohilary categorically stated that unless the UPPL is removed, the BPF will continue to function independently outside the alliance. “First, friendship must be clear, only then can government formation be discussed,” he said, stressing that political clarity must come before any power-sharing talks.
