SOLON, Ohio — Solon High School is celebrating another year of academic excellence, with 100 seniors earning national recognition from the College Board through the 2026 National Merit Scholarship and National Recognition Programs.

This year, 23 students were named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists and 29 were commended scholars — placing Solon among the top schools in Ohio. Another 48 students received National Recognition Awards for their academic achievements.

Superintendent Fred Bolden said the recognition reflects years of effort by students, families and educators working together to create a culture of success.
