Brits were issued with a weather alert during Saturday's BBC Breakfast as Storm Amy persisted in wreaking havoc throughout the UK.

Hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty delivered the most recent information to audiences, accompanied by meteorologist Simon King who outlined fresh weather advisories and predictions.

"Many people waking up this morning to scenes like we just saw there.

"Debris on the ground. There is still this amber warning from The Met Office which is valid until nine o'clock this evening," Simon declared during another weather bulletin.
