O nce upon a time, in a sparkling blue lake, lived a turtle named Tiko. Unlike other turtles, Tiko had a secret he could talk!

But Tiko only used his voice for kind things. He would say: “Good morning, fishes!” “Swim safe, little frog!” And everyone in the lake loved him.

One hot summer, the lake began to dry up. The animals were worried. “What will we do without water?” cried the ducks.

Tiko thought hard. Then he waddled to the nearby village and, for the very first time, spoke to humans! “Dear friends, the lake is drying. Please help us!”

The children gasped. “A talking turtle!” But they listened. The villagers dug a new canal, and soon fresh water flowed back into the lake.
