Paul O’Grady’s grave finally gets headstone with ‘favourite quote’ over two years after death

Paul O’Grady’s headstone – bearing one of his favourite quotes – has finally been placed at his grave site more than two years after his death.

The legendary TV presenter and Lily Savage drag performer died ‘unexpectedly’ in 2023, aged 67, after going into cardiac arrest at his home in Aldington, Kent.

O’Grady’s husband of six years, Andre Portasio, announced the news: ‘It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening.

‘We ask, at this difficult time, that whilst you celebrate his life you also respect our privacy as we come to terms with this loss.’

Now, more than two years after O’Grady’s death, Portasio has revealed that his husband’s grave site has finally received its headstone after a lengthy organisation process.
