President Donald Trump says he has some “big plans” for the pivotal 2026 midterm elections, notably his desire to “survive” amid what he described as left-wing violence.

The Republican president uttered the morbid quip during an interview with the right-wing One America News Network on Thursday after a reporter asked him if he planned to hit the campaign trail next year for Republican candidates.

“I have big plans, I want to survive,” Trump said, according to The New York Post, which summarized the interview .

“So you look at what’s going on, it’s crazy. You know, the rhetoric that these crazy Democrats are using is very dangerous. They’ve made politics very dangerous,” Trump told the cable news outlet.
