The nail-biting moment West Lothian drivers were spotted driving through a 'broken barrier' at a train level crossing was caught on camera.
The incident took place in Kirknewton around 10pm on Friday evening, October 3.
The clip shared with Edinburgh Live, shows drivers queuing at the crossing with a broken barrier. One witness claims the lights were flashing encouraging traffic to stop, however a number of cars passed through regardless.
One white vehicle passed through before another motor comes in the other direction. In the short clip you can hear passengers shouting in shock at what they witnessed.
Cars must stop at a level crossing when flashing lights start after the steady amber lights have come on, or when the barriers start to lower.
