At 1-3 start is not what Florida football coach Billy Napier envisioned heading into October.
But the Florida Gators (1-3, 0-1 SEC) find themselves needing to climb out of the early hole they created when they host No. 7 Texas at The Swamp.
Florida is facing a Top 10-ranked opponent for the third straight game after losing back-to-back games to No. 9 LSU and No. 6 Miami. The Gators are 20-22 overall under Napier and 4-16 against ranked opponents.
"We understand that Texas has a good football team, and it's going to be that way the rest of the way, right?," Napier said. "So each week will require our best, and this week's no different than the last couple. So, in general, this is going to be a huge opportunity."
