EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Around 1,700 runners took to the streets of Evansville for the annual Evansville Half Marathon Saturday.
The 13.1 mile course kicked off at 7 a.m. at 1st and Court before weaving its way through downtown and onto the Greenway Passage.
The runners then made their way through Garvin Park, before coming down Main Street to end by the Ford Center.
Officials say the Half Marathon was founded to promote health and well-being for all while fundraising for the YMCA.
Finishers of the half-marathon receive a custom medal.
A 5K was also held during the annual event.
