EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Weeks after Evansville Police Officer Sam Taylor was shot in the line of duty, community members are continuing to show an outpouring of support for Taylor and his family.

Another fundraiser was held to raise money for Officer Taylor on Friday.

Cars lining up outside Evansville Vanderburgh Central Dispatch and all the way down Harmony Way to buy burgers, hot dogs and chips.. All the proceeds going back to Officer Taylor and his family during his recovery.

Evansville Police Chief Philip Smith says, “Words can’t describe the outreach that we have from our community and abroad. And for Central Dispatch, a fellow partner agency to do this for us, it just means the world to all of us.”
