This was Ravindra Jadeja’s honest admission after India defeated the West Indies on Saturday by an innings and 140 runs. While India rediscovered home dominance in Ahmedabad, Jadeja bagged the Player of the Match award. The southpaw notched up his 6 th Test century before his magical figures – 4/54 – punctured the West Indies batting order.

The Ahmedabad Test was India’s first since the spin great’s retirement. Speaking at the post-match press conference, Jadeja said he often feels like Ashwin would follow him in bowling until he realises the reality.
